Marilyn Kay (nee Ingram) Gaurin
July 29th, 1948 - March 18th, 2025
Her family and pets were the source of her joy. She was the family "funny bone" and will be truly missed.
Marilyn passed away suddenly on 3/18 doing something she loved - pet sitting. Marilyn was born in Lincoln, NE and spent her early years in the small town of Louisville, NE . She bonded with all her many cousins who became as close as siblings. She spent most of her school years in Washington until her dad was transferred to Huntsville, AL. She graduated from Lee HS. After living in NY where her daughter, Kimberly was born, she moved back to WA to be closer to family. Her working years were at DSHS of WA until her retirement. She married Ken Gaurin in 1999 and chose 911 as the date so he would never have an excuse to forget their anniversary. He brought his own daughter Kimberly into the family so they had a Kim Sr. and Kim Jr. Marilyn was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Brady, Alyssa, Brennin, Myilee, Emelinae, Maimoa, Sipiliano Jr. and a great granddaughter, Lucy. She was predeceased by her parents, and her beloved brother, Paul. She will always be remembered by her loving family, husband Ken, daughters Kim Sr. and Kim Jr., sisters, Priscilla and Kathy and her sister-in-law Sarah, brothers-in-law, Rudy and Greg, and many nephews and nieces. Her quick wit and wicked sense of humor were unmatched and she had a remarkable ability to bring laughter and joy to every family gathering. Her playful spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
There will be no formal funeral service. A gathering of her loved ones will be held at a later date to honor her life.
