David "Lurch" Roger Lesher, Sr
April 26th, 1946 - March 20th, 2025
David Roger Lesher, Sr. passed away on March 20, 2025, in North Port, Florida. He was born on April 26,1946 in Meadville, PA to Harry F. and Pauline Lesher.
David graduated from Saegertown High School in 1964 before serving his country with honor in the United States Navy for 4 tours during the Vietnam War. He was stationed aboard the USS Fletcher, where he demonstrated dedication and commitment to his fellow service members.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca; his children, David Roger Lesher, Jr. and Stephanie Jean-Lesher Graham; and his sister, Audrey Phelan and her husband Ron. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his sister, Diana Muma. David also shared a special bond with his cherished cat, Oscar.
Beyond his service and family life, David spent many years in the tool and die industry as a journeyman tool and die maker, was a member of the Norrisville Sportsman's Club, most recently a 7 year member of Awaken Church in North Port FL, and had a deep passion for classic cars and took great joy in collecting them.
His love for life and devotion to those around him left a lasting impact on all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
His life will be celebrated in a ceremony in North Port, Fl where he will be laid to rest with full Military Honors at the Sarasota National Cemetery.
