Marianne S. Schneider
April 7th, 1934 - February 10th, 2025
Marianne S. Schneider, 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, NY on February 10, 2025. She was born on April 7, 1934 in Heusenstamm, Germany to Goerg Gӧtz and Susanna Löhr. She emigrated to the United States with her husband, Josef Schneider, in 1960. She is predeceased by her husband of over 60 years, who passed in 2023. Marianne Schneider is survived by her children, Joseph C. Schneider and his wife, Libby, in Carrolton, TX, Thomas W. Schneider and his partner, Tom Edwards, in Highland Mills, NY, and Stefan A. Schneider and his husband, Bradley Brammer, in Larchmont, NY. She is also survived by her two remaining younger sisters, Ursula Goetz and Barbara Weber, both of Naples and her five grandchildren, Christian Schneider in Dallas, TX, Summer Schneider and Liam Schneider in New York, NY, Ava Schneider in Berlin, Germany, and Aidan Schneider in Croton-on-Hudson, NY, as well as her four step-grandchildren, Alexandria Brammer in Taichung, Taiwan, Abigail Fouts and her husband, Justin, in Phoenix, AZ, Addison Brammer and his wife, Amberlynn, in Austin, TX, and Emma Brammer in New York, NY. She was preceded in death by her siblings Theo Gӧtz, Margot Friedrich, and Brigitta Schwarz. A memorial service will be held in her honor at Church of the Immaculate Conception in Stony Point, NY on April 5 at 10am. Friends and family are invited to attend and pay their respects. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to United Hospice of Rockland (https://unitedhospiceinc.org/donation/) in Marianne Schneider's memory. Her family would like to extend their gratitude to United Hospice for their compassion and care during Marianne’s end of life illness. Marianne was the matriarch of her family and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace. You will always be remembered and your memory cherished.
