Debra Phillips passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones in the early hours of Friday, March 14th, 2025. 

I will never forget that night as it was also the night of a full moon and a lunar eclipse. And I'm so very grateful that I could bear witness to her passing. 

Debbie was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM and graduated from Del Norte High School. After graduation, she spent some time in both Texas and Alaska before returning to New Mexico for good. In our immediate family, Debbie was a daughter, an older sister, a mother of two, and a grandmother of three. Debbie always put others first before herself and was generous to her family. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy and she loved spending time and sharing photos of all three of them. 

If you knew Debbie, then you knew what a wicked sense of humor she had. Sometimes (ok, most of the time) it was dark humor, but that's because she didn't let life get her down and she always chose to make jokes when times were tough. And times were often tough for her. But, in spite of the challenges that life threw at her, Debbie loved and was loved in return. Her life was rich with the people who loved her. 

Rest in peace, Deb. I will miss you so very much. Thanks for being my big sis, and thanks for everything you've done for this family.
