Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory
Kelly Dawn Bess
August 19th, 1980 - January 26th, 2025
Kelly Dawn Bess, 44 years old, passed away far to young on January 26, 2025. Kelly was our little “River Rat” growing up. She loved the water, boating, and camping. She loved the outdoors. For her 16th birthday she wanted to go upriver camping, and we did! It was one of her favorite things to do with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed watching the sunset fade into the night sky filled with the Moon and Stars.
Kelly had a big heart. Although life had not always been easy, she bounced back every time. Her family is very proud of her and always has been.
Kelly was born August 19, 1980, in Port Charlotte, FL. She graduated from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and mother.
Kelly is survived by her mother Penny Bess, brother, Johnny Bess, daughter, Haleigh Sherkus, Haleigh’s father, Adam Sherkus, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews as well as cousins and many friends.
Kelly’s most precious and priceless gift was her daughter, Haleigh.
“You will be loved and missed Kelly, Rest in Peace my baby girl, mom loves you. Until we meet again in the arms of the angels.”
