      Edgar Arthur Gettys life journey took place from January 16th, 1934, through March 15th, 2025. At the age of 91, Arthur passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones in Covington, Washington. Born in Omaha, he grew up in Franklin and Wolbach, Nebraska, instilling in him a keen sense of community and values. As the son of Paul J. and Margaret F. Gettys, Arthur's upbringing laid the foundation for his future. After graduating from Wolbach High School in 1951, Arthur attended classes in electronics at Boeing Wichita which soon led to Boeing in Seattle working on the BOMARC missile system. Arthur left Boeing and worked as an electronic engineer in several companies before finishing his career as parts manager at Gateway Distributors in December 2010.

 

  Arthur is the first of eight children. He is survived by his devoted wife of 72 years, Ardyce Nadine Gettys; sons Paul and Joseph Gettys; and his two daughters, Karen Gettys and Susan Moses. Arthur's legacy lives on through his six grandchildren: Joeii Gettys, Kandiss Stenzel, Jamey Jackson, Jessica Brown, Cameo Anderson, and Summer Moses; and six great-grandchildren. His Profound love for animals, gardening, cooking, wealth of knowledge and wisdom will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him.
