Marjory Louise Packwood
October 27th, 1936 - March 7th, 2025
Marjory Louise Packwood passed away March 7th, 2025 at Tacoma General Hospital.
She was born October 27, 1936 in Wenatchee Washington to Dale & Hazel Packwood. She graduated from Entiat High School, worked in Wenatchee for a time and then migrated to the Portland area where her oldest sister, Charlotte, and her family lived.
On March 17th, 1954 Marjory married Ray Biles and eventually they lived in Boring Oregon. They’d known each other most of their lives and it seemed a natural fit. A short time later, Terrell Dean was born, and a year later Kendra Lee completed the circle. It was an adventure filled time with the two enthusiastic youngsters.
Years later, Marjorie Lynn was born. It was almost a second family situation because of the years between the children. Sadly, Terrell and Marjorie Lynn both passed away while very young, and Ray passed April 3rd, 1988. These great losses weighed heavy on Marge making Kendra all the more precious.
Marjory is survived by her daughter, Kendra; her grandchildren Alisha, Joanna, Shanna, Jaclyn, and Michael; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Sheryl Long and Sheila Askov; a bevy of nieces and nephews; plus a lifetime of friends and helpers.
Marge was incredibly talented with crafts. Her detailed needlepoint creations found their way into the homes and hearts of many families and friends. She was meticulous by nature and excelled in all areas of expertise requiring attention to detail.
Playing games with her sisters reminded her of days gone by and filled a void for everyone. She never learned to like losing, but was thrilled at the opportunity to call and complain to another sister about the loss. Not suffering in silence made her happy.
Now it’s time for the important things. Marge professed December 1988 in the tri-cities area of Washington. Her walk with God was essential for her peace of mind, and spending time with His people at meetings and conventions brought her great joy. Her family and friends are incredibly grateful she’s not hurting anymore and is safe in God’s great care.
