Blanche Cecilia Severns, born on August 28, 1940, in Pendleton, Oregon, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 84, in St Joseph Hospital, Tacoma, Washington. A devoted Catholic, Blanche's life was a testament to her faith and love for her family and community.
Blanche graduated from Echo High School in Echo, Oregon, and on May 28, 1960, she married her high school sweetheart at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Hermiston, Oregon. Their union, which lasted an admirable 65 years, was blessed with four sons, who were the pride and joy of her life.
Her commitment to her faith was evident through her active participation in the Catholic Daughters and the Columbiettes. Blanche was known for her generous spirit and dedication to helping others. She frequently visited cancer patients in local hospitals and care facilities, offering comfort and companionship to those in need.
Blanche's love for life was infectious, and her passion for dance, particularly square dancing, brought joy to many around her. Her caring nature and willingness to help everyone she encountered left an indelible mark on her community and all who knew her.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, Frances A. Maher and Louis Faro, whose guidance and love helped shape the compassionate person she became.
She is survived by her sisters, Marjorie Bonifer and Rita Drake, husband Jay Severns, 3 sons,12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
