George Egolf
July 1st, 1947 - March 24th, 2025
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of George Fredrick Lawrence Egolf on March 24, 2025, at the age of 77 at Houston Healthcare, surrounded by his wife and family. A visitation will take place Thursday, March 27, 2025 between the hours of 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11:00 AM with Pastor Edward Bryan officiating. George will be laid to rest at Parkway Memorial Gardens immediately following the service.
Born in Toronto, Canada, George' parents, the late John Egolf and Maragaret McKinnon Egolf, moved to the United States when he was 3 years old. He was a real patriot to his country and when it called he served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War. After his honorable discharge he continued his career and completed nursing school. He then continued his education with completing nurse anesthetist school and a doctorate in natural health. He retired as a nurse anesthetist after 40 years, a role in which he touched lives with his care and professional kindness. He loved God, and was a faithful member of The Seventh Day Adventist Church. He never let an opportunity pass without sharing his heart and the love of God with others.
George is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Egolf. George was a devoted husband to his wife Valentina Lukinova Egolf with whom he shared 29 years of cherished marriage. Together they built a legacy of love and commitment, celebrating life's joys and facing challenges hand in hand. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Stevens and her husband Ronald, their son Justin Stevens, his wife Regin, and their daughters Emma and Kinzlee; and their daughter Brittany Stevens, her husband Brandon and their children, Flynn and Griffin. His brothers, Glenn Egolf and Barry Egolf, along with Barry's wife, Barbara, also mourn the loss of their dear brother. In addition, George is survived by his sister in law, Nadezhda Lukinova, nephew Alexander Lukinov and Niece, Inn Banny, her husband Dima, and their son Dennis Banny.
George will be remembered for his loving heart, sense of humor, passion for reading, cars and motorcycles, history and guns. He will be missed deepy, but held forever close in our hearts. May George Fredrick Lawrence Egolf rest in peace embraced by the warm memories and loving thoughts of his family and friends.
