JoAnn Kathryn Holl
August 20th, 1931 - March 21st, 2025
JoAnn Kathryn Holl passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025 at the age of 93.JoAnn was born in Milwaukee, WI in 1931. She was the oldest of Clarence and Viola Beernink’s three daughters. She loved living in Milwaukee where she could walk around the corner to visit her grandparents. Some of JoAnn’s happiest memories were from her days with her Alpha Gamma Delta sorority sisters at Carroll College where she graduated with a business degree. She worked in accounting at Inland Steel where she met her love, Bob Holl, while singing in the company chorus. Their courtship was swift and they were married on October 1, 1960. Together they had two children, Bob and Kathy. The family moved to North Olmsted, Ohio in 1968 where JoAnn and Bob played in golf leagues in the summer, bowling league in the winter, took part in several bridge clubs, and made lifelong friends. They were also very active members of John Knox Presbyterian Church. The family moved to Melbourne Beach, Florida in 1978 when Harris Corporation relocated their headquarters. JoAnn was a naturally happy person and made friends quickly. Every week was filled with golf, tennis, bridge and fun. She looked forward to their annual visit to North Carolina and the new friends they would make each trip. JoAnn and Bob were active members of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Indialantic. When Bob died in 2005, she did not slow down. She went on cruises and golf outings. She continued to drive herself to North Carolina Mountains and sit on Sugar Mountain and smile. JoAnn lived the last ten years at Buena Vida Estates where she was ridiculously happy. She would play bridge 3 times per week with her friends there and make jigsaw puzzles and knit. Whenever she was asked how she was doing, she would respond “better than good”. Her friends called her Confetti because she was always the life of the party. Her motto was “Life is Good” and it definitely was for JoAnn.JoAnn Holl is predeceased by her husband, Robert Holl, and survived by her daughter Kathy Bils (husband Tony) and her son Bob Holl (wife Lisa) and her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
