Grace Lorraine Roland

Grace Lorraine Roland, 81, went home to be with Jesus on March 25, 2025, after a brief illness at Bristol Regional Medical Center. She departed this world free from worry and pain, embraced by the eternal peace she so deeply believed in.

Born on September 4, 1943, at the French Hospital in New York, NY, Grace was the daughter of Rowland and Catherine Roland. In 1983, she made Tennessee her home, building a life filled with faith, love, and service at Shekinah Church.

Grace’s love for Jesus was the foundation of her life. Her favorite passage, Psalm 91, was a source of comfort and strength, and she lived by its promises. Known for her servant’s heart, she had a deep love for people, always offering kindness and encouragement to those in need. Her compassion extended to all of God’s creatures, especially her cherished cats, who brought her great joy.

She will be dearly missed by her friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace in the presence of her Savior.

A service to celebrate Grace’s life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Shekinah Church, 394 Glory Rd, Blountville, TN. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the church. A private burial will take place at a later date at Shekinah Cemetery.
