In Loving Memory

Mr. G. Wayne Mabe, 82, of Kernersville passed away on March 25, 2025 at his home.  Born in Walkertown, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Grady and Katherine (Stone) Mabe and husband of Brenda Mabe.

 

Wayne worked at RJR for over 37 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking and gardening, where he would grow giant tomatoes. He was an alumni of Lions Club, a former choir director and most importantly, a man of God.

 

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Mabe; his sons, G.W. Mabe Jr. and Derek Mabe; his grandchildren, Madison Mabe and Dalton Mabe; his siblings, Glenn Mabe (Judy) and Diane Boles (Harry); his daughter-in-law, Melissa "Misty" Mabe; his sister-in-laws, Mildred Mabe and Valena Mabe; and his brother-in-laws, Jerry Isley and Johnny Catlett (Sherry).

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Aaron Mabe; his siblings, Dorothy "Dot" Ball, William "Bill" Mabe, Robert "Jack" Mabe, and Peggy Isley.

The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral and Cremation, 213 W. Mountain St., Kernersville NC 27284 on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 from 2:00PM-3:00PM.  Funeral services celebrating Wayne's life will follow beginning at 3:00PM with Rev. Beverly Isley-Landreth officiating.  Interment will be at Gardens of Memory - Walkertown, Walkertown, North Carolina.
