Edward Gregory Keil, age 83, of Tacoma, WA, peacefully passed away on March 12th, 2025, surrounded by his children. Greg, the name he went by his whole life, was born September 12, 1941, to Edward and Lois (Jennings) Keil, in Tacoma. Greg was soon joined by little sister Marika, and brother Bradley Keil. He attended Grant Elementary in Tacoma before the family moved to Seattle where Greg graduated from Queen Anne High School, class of 1959, along with a group of lifelong friends.  After one year at UW, he transferred and graduated from Western Washington University majoring in history. He then was drafted and served in the U.S. Army from 1965-1967. After his active-duty service ended, and he was living on Vashon Island, Greg met and married Tracy Roberts (from Spokane) December 21st, 1968. Together they had two children, Conrad William (’71) and Molly Kathleen (’74). They raised their family in University Place, WA while Greg was working as a salesperson in the lumber industry where he traveled around the Pacific Northwest. After Greg retired, he enjoyed time golfing, watching his favorite teams: Seattle Mariners, Seahawks, and recently Kraken hockey.  He continued to meet weekly with friends at several establishments in town where he never passed up an opportunity to have a conversation or tell stories over a cup of coffee, a good beer, or glass of wine. But the true happiness of his life was being Papa to his twin grandchildren, Mia and Manny Caldwell. He was so grateful to have watched them grow up and go off to college this year. Our Dad /Papa will forever be loved and missed! He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fircrest, WA for almost 50 years, UFF DAH! Greg was predeceased by his wife, M. Tracy Keil, his parents, Edward and Lois Keil. He is survived by his children Conrad Keil and Molly (Chris) Keil, both of Tacoma; grandchildren, Mia Caldwell and Manny Caldwell; sister Marika Keil of Milton; brother Brad (Linda) Keil of Seattle; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 29, Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fircrest, Washington.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Redeemer Lutheran Church or donating blood at your local blood bank.
