Donald "Don" Arthur Bailey
December 5th, 1954 - March 26th, 2025
Donald Arthur Bailey, age 70, of Woodbury, MN passed away peacefully at his home on March 26, 2025 with his wife Bobbye by his side. He was born in St. Paul, MN on December 5, 1954. Don was the youngest of 3 boys born to Lloyd and Charlene Bailey (Spanhanks) of St. Paul, MN. Don graduated in 1973 from Park High School in Cottage Grove. He attended 916 Area Vocational-Technical Institute during his senior year of high school. He was in Buildings and Grounds Maintenance where he helped plant trees on campus that still exist today. After graduating, Don began his career as a custodian in 1976 at Macalester College in St. Paul and retired from Macalester in 2017. In 2011, Don married the love of his life, Bobbye Jarvis from Memphis, TN. They began their new life together in Woodbury, MN. Don’s passion throughout his life was his church and his Christian faith. He loved all Minnesota sports teams, especially the Vikings. Watching football with family and friends gave him great joy. Don was a very loving and kind husband, brother, son, uncle, and friend. He was a gentle soul with a heart of gold. He will be greatly missed. Don was preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Charlene and niece Michelle. He is survived by his wife Bobbye, 2 brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Although Don is gone, he will live on in our hearts and in the stories we tell. A public visitation will be held at 10:00am Thursday, April 3, 2025 with a funeral service at 12:00pm at Sandberg Funeral and Cremation Services in North Saint Paul. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Mahtomedi, MN.
