Phyllis Louise Naylor Ditch

In loving memory
Phyllis Louise Naylor Ditch passed away peacefully March 27, 2025.
Born March 22, 1947 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Agnes (Coddington) Naylor.
Phyllis married the love of her life, James Herbert Ditch, on March 8, 1969. She graduated from Indiana Hospital School of Nursing in 1969 in Indiana, PA with her R.N. Nursing License. Supporting her husband's Air Force Career and beyond, Phyllis relocated to several cities to include Athens, Greece, Fort Meade, MD, Brunswick, OH and finally Lexington, SC all while practicing her nursing career and raising her family. She retired from C.M Tucker Veterans Facility in Columbia, SC.
Phyllis loved being Nana to her four grandchildren, loved buying them surprises and dropping them off each holiday, taking bus trips, gardening, music, crocheting, spending time with family and holding her late toy poodle, Gidget.
Phyllis is survived by her son Damon (Judy) of West Columbia, SC, Daughter In Law, Jennifer Ditch of Gaston, SC, one granddaughter Amy (Taylor) Areheart of Pine Ridge, SC, three grandsons, Andrew (Katelyn) Ditch, Matthew (Kennedy Kelly) Ditch, both of Lexington, SC, Taylor (Abigail) Ditch of Gaston, SC.
Along with her parents and husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by one son, Curtis Michael Ditch, brothers, Terry and Calvin Naylor, and sister, Connie Brass.
Honorary pallbearers will include Andrew Ditch, Matthew Ditch, Taylor Ditch, Clayton Wilson, Scotty Trimnal, and Donny Pittman.
The family would like to thank all those at Carolina Gardens/Spring Oak who cared for Phyllis during her 9 years there.
The family will receive friends at Woodridge Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Graveside funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Woodridge Memorial Park and Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Freeman officiating. Interment will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
