Eleanor Elizabeth Michel
July 16th, 1928 - March 19th, 2025
Eleanor Elizabeth Michel born in Sacramento, CA, on July 16, 1928 passed away on March 19, 2025, at the age of 96.
She was the daughter of Henry and Erica Stocker. She graduated from Elk Grove High School and soon after took a job as secretary at the school.
Eleanor married Leo Michel, of Nicolaus, CA, in July of 1950, soon after they moved to their home in Nicolaus where she lived for 75 years.
They had six children: Larry Michel (Helen-deceased),Diane Fales (Jerry), Jerry Michel (Claudette), Margaret Taylor (Nick) and Steven Michel (Mary) all of Nicolaus. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; and son, Roger. She is survived by 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
She loved gardening and volunteering for her community. She was the secretary for South Sutter Recreation Association and Nicolaus Cemetery for over twenty years. She was an active volunteer in South Sutter Senior Citizens, Marcum Mother's (Parents) Club and St. Boniface Altar Society. Eleanor was a member of the Sacramento Helvetia Verein Swiss Ladies for over 65 years.
Mass is planned at the St. Boniface Catholic Church on April 5, 2025, at noon with burial following at the Nicolaus Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
