David Kenneth Lee
September 1st, 1958 - March 20th, 2025
David K Lee, of Chico, passed away March 20, 2025 at the age of 66. David was born in Chico, CA in 1958 and grew up here as well. David was the son of Donald and Yvonne Lee. He graduated from high school and quickly went to work at the mills where he lost a thumb in an accident. Soon after, he became self employed as a Truck Driver which he made an amazing career and life for his family out of. He re- tired from trucking in 2022 after 38 years. He never truly retired, as he simply re-focused his energy into his other business of commercial rentals until his passing. He met the love of his life (Kelly Lee) in 1977 at the young age of 18, they remained married for 31 years until her passing in 2011. They had 2 daughters, Cas- sie Wood and Krista Lee. He was also the second dad to countless friends of their daughters and al- ways welcomed everyone. David was a strong man who was always there with open arms, a shoulder to lend, an ear to listen and priceless advice. He was also one of the funniest men most ever knew. He made the most of his 66 years on this earth and died too young. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, motorcycle enthusiast, outdoorsman, entrepreneur, skier, business man and friend to so many. He was an amazing father of 2, and grandfather to 6. David (and late wife Kelly) was the center of our family and were loved and cherished by all. He is survived by his two daughters (Cassie and Krista), 6 grandchildren (Macie, Kelby, Delilah, DaisyMae, Harrison, and Maylee), both of his siblings (Greg and Lizzette) and so many more friends and family who weren’t ready to say good- bye. We all wish we could enjoy just one more “final-final” smoothie around the campfire with him. His graveside funeral will commence at 11 am on Monday April 7th, 2025 at Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico, which will be followed by a Celebration of Life at the Elks Lodge of Chico. Arrangements are entrusted to Brusie Funeral Home.
