Lawrence Wayne Bevans, (Larry) was born Aug. 29, 1958 to James and Mary Jean Bevans. When he was little they got him a rocking horse and his dad liked to tell the story of hearing noises in the middle of the night and when he checked it out he found Larry on the rocking horse. He still had to have a rocking chair at home to watch TV from.

He was a great big brother to his younger brother Ron and sister Kathy growing up in Arvada. He played baseball and football grow up and he was a excellent catcher. He graduated from Arvada West High School in 1976. His first car was a Cadillac with suicide doors, it was a tank and he loved it. He went to USC in Pueblo and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in 1981. He worked for his Aunt at Lehrer's Flowers during the summers and at Christmas breaks. He worked for the forest service in the summers which he loved as Forest Ranger was his dream career.

He started working for CTL Thompson after college and then went to work for A.G. Wassenaar for the last 34 years, where he was a Senior Field Technician.

Larry was an epileptic, although he was seizure free after brain surgery in 2006.

Even though they both grew up in Arvada he and Cyndie didn't meet until 2005 on Match.com. They often wondered how many times their paths must have crossed. Larry and Cyndie married on July 7, 2007. They joked that Larry shouldn't forget that date.

Larry had many friend he met at the Brewery Bar ll through the years.

In 2016 he lost his younger brother to a pulmonary embolism in March, his mother in June to a stroke and his father in September due to cancer.

Larry love his Broncos and Rockies. He enjoyed golf on TV and the course.

He spent many summers at Grand Lake and Meeker.  Fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Besides his wife, Cynthia he leaves behind his sister Kathy and her husband Ken, his step mother Sylvia, nephew Cameron and step son Christopher Paulson. He loved his little buddy Tiger as well as Teddi and Tudy, our dogs and our 4 cats.

The family plan to bury his ashes at Grand Lake cemetery near his mother and step father Joe Buddy in a private ceremony.
