Peter Harry Marros passed away holding his wife's hand in the early morning hours on March 23, 2025, in Yuba City, CA.

Peter graduated from Central High School in Rapid City. He attended one year at Black Hills State Teachers College before joining the Air Force.

Peter taught P.E. for six years in Rapid City School District before he decided in 1965, to move to Yuba City, CA. He taught at Lincoln School and Berry School, but mostly at Gray Avenue, retiring in 1999.

After retiring, he spent 20 years working as a substitute teacher because he really liked being with the kids. The kids lovingly dubbed him "grandpa."

Peter was known for his sense of humor. He always had a joke that he just had to tell you. He enjoyed any joke that was told to him. His infectious laughter was famous.
