Mikel D. Lawson, age 65 of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 27, 2025. He spent his entire life in Kingsport and loved his family beyond measure. His true joy came from his loving companion, Daisy Mae Duke that he rescued from the Sullivan County Animal Shelter many years ago.
Most of his family has preceded him death, leaving behind his niece, Derica Parker.
At his request, there will be no formal service at this time. A private gathering will be held in his honor at a later date.
Carter-Trent of Kingsport is serving the Lawson family.
