Mementos

Manny, our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025, at the age of 86.

Manny was born in the Bronx, New York to Thomas and Jean Scarpinato. He had 10 children including Thomas (deceased), Vincent, Debra (deceased), Jean (deceased), Lorraine (deceased), Michelle, Dean, Jessica, Anthony, and Dominick as well as 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  Manny was married to his late wife, Debra L. Scarpinato for over 43 years.  They shared an incredible love story that was built on deep devotion, sacrifice and laughter.  At last, they are joined again in Heaven.

Manny’s legacy was his unwavering dedication to his wife, family, and businesses.  And of course, the NY Giants and Long Island Rangers.  He was fierce about the truth, the news, sharing his expertise, the daily mail, and cooking.  One of his favorite pastimes was duck and elk hunting.  He was also a devoted Catholic.

His career spanned over 70 years as a third-generation contractor and real estate broker both in New York and Arizona.

With this profound loss to us all, Manny will be remembered for his truthfulness, humor, sarcasm, and love.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to “Hands and Hearts for Christ”, a medical mission to Guatemala providing free surgical procedures to underserved communities. Please contact Jessica ([email protected]) or Vinnie ([email protected]) for more information on how to donate.
