Patricia Anne Lewis
December 7th, 1949 - March 23rd, 2025
On Sunday March 23, my beautiful wife of less than 3 years suffered an aortic aneurysm. She had little pain and subsequently died in surgery.
Pat was born Patricia Anne Foley in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Marion and Ralph Foley, she graduated from the University of Rhode Island and had successful careers in the insurance and banking sectors and as a grade school teacher following retirement.
Pat was married previously to Robert W MacMillan for 38 years. He passed away in 2019.
She is survived by her sister Katherine Fitzpatrick, brothers Paul Foley and William Foley as well as multiple nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her young sister, Marion Brown and younger brother Terry Foley.
We were just getting to really know and love one another, and I had clearly begun to understand those 3 little words that make for a more perfect marriage:
"Right Away, Dear".
Patty had described to me, how in her younger days, meeting with friends to watch Saturday Night Live and getting "stoned", and so her ashes will be mixed with pottery clay and baked into small ‘memory stones’ which I will be happy to share.
I loved that woman and will sorely miss her.
Please feel free to leave a tribute on this site.
If you wish to make a donation in her name, please do so to either ‘Save the Children’ or a charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Sarasota at 10:00AM on May 1, 2025 at Saint Andrew United Church of Christ (941-922-7595).
Thanks for your time,
Bob Lewis
