Thelma S. Nickerson passed away peacefully on March 21,2025 after a brief illness. She was born on April 12, 1941to Charles Collins and Maybelle Baker in Montserrat British West Indies where she spent her early childhood. At age 19 she left for Canada to join her family there. In the early 1960’s she married the love of her life William "Billy" Nickerson. Theirs was an Air Force life with assignments in various parts of the world with their two children Wanderlee and David. Their last assignment brought them to Tucson, Arizona.  She was employed over the years in a multitude of jobs gaining a tremendous skill set. In retirement she enjoyed travelling with Billy visiting family until Billy Passed in 2015- they had a wonderful marriage!  She is survived by daughter Wanderlee, son-in-law Howard, grandchildren Milargo and John David, several great grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Rosanna, 2 sisters, beloved family on the Nickerson side, nieces, nephews and a host of loved family and friends.  She was pre-deceased by her parents, her husband Billy and her son David, sisters and a brother.  Adair Funeral Home Dodge Chapel will be handling her services. Viewing will be Thursday April 3 from 4-6 pm with a Rosary said at 6 pm.  Her funeral Mass will beat St. Francis de Sales 1375 5. Camino Seco Tucson, Az 85710 on Friday April 4th 10:00 AM In lieu of flowers if wished a memorial in her memory can be made to your preferred charity.
