Cossette B. Jackson
November 21st, 1932 - March 29th, 2025
Cossette B. (Gordon) Jackson, 92, passed away March 29, 2025 at Glens Falls Hospital in Glens Falls, NY. Born in Shutesbury, MA, she was the daughter of Freddy Trombley and Roseanna Gordon. Cossette grew up in Chicopee and Ludlow, MA, as part of a large, blended family. For the past 20 years she has lived in upstate New York with her son Dennis. Cossette held small jobs here and there through the years but primarily took care of her two children and late husband, Earl Sr. Her love for shopping is fondly remembered by her family. In 1999, she was predeceased by her husband, Earl H. Jackson, Sr. Cossette will be lovingly remembered by her children, Earl Jackson and his wife, Linda, of Chicopee, and Dennis Jackson and his wife Maegen, with whom she lived. Cossette also leaves grandchildren, Kenneth, Jeremy, Matthew, Lisa, Ashlee, Carter and Johnny along with three great grandchildren, Mark, Jasmine and Wesley. Her half-brother, Al Trombley and his wife Beverly, also survive her. Private services will be held for family members and invited guests on Saturday April 5 at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton Street, South Hadley, MA. Viewing at 11:00 AM. Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Notre Dame Cemetery beside her husband, Earl Sr. As a devout follower of Jesus Christ Cossette was a faithful supporter of many Christian, Baptist, charity and missionary causes. In lieu of flowers please send any “in memoriam” donations to the Springfield Rescue Mission, 10 Mill St, Springfield, MA 01108.
