Richard Edward Martin, III, 82, of St. Petersburg peacefully passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025.
Richard was born on July 15, 1943, in Fort Worth, TX, the son of Richard E. Martin, Jr and Mary Jane Boyles. They precede him in death.
Surviving is his companion of 10 years, Eleni Peca of St. Petersburg; 2 grandchildren; a sister Mary Jane Martin-Smith and husband Gilbert Naylor Smith of Nashville; many nieces and nephews; and his very loving work family and employees.
Richard is a former City of St. Petersburg Councilman: he started and successfully ran Dick Martin Realty for over 50 years. He had many long-time employees who he considered his family, and he will be greatly missed by all.
Richard had a love for animals, fishing, traveling, reading, and politics.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 10:30am to 12pm on Friday, April 11th at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 12pm at the funeral home, and burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery.
