Judith Diane Morrill
January 11th, 1960 - March 18th, 2025
Judith Diane Morrill (Coyle) passed away peacefully from natural causes on March 18, 2025.
She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Beatrice and Henry Dow and her brother Michael Coyle.
She is survived by her devoted children Stephen Morrill and Beth Rodriguez and her husband Carlos Rodriguez, her precious granddaughters Rosalie and Lillian Rodriguez, brothers Joshua Dow and Mike Dow, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Judy was known for her compassion, her Christ-like empathy, and her ability to see the best in everyone. She was a woman of creativity, quiet strength and joy, and her love will remain a guiding light to all who knew her. Judy chose to see people for the true essence of who they are, not for what they do or what they have. She had keen observation skills and always noticed if someone needed something. She was welcoming of everyone and had a golden, empathetic heart.
Like with people, she also had a unique gift with plants. She could look at a plant that appeared to have no life and rather than discard it, she’d take it home and nurture it. The results were always amazing because she was somebody who could see that there was still life left in them, and they sprouted new shoots and flourished under her care.
Judy had both a quiet resonance about her and at the same time an enthusiasm for creativity. She truly lived in the moment and loved to laugh. She will be remembered for that spark of light that she could see in everyone she met. Every person with a loving heart is a messenger of healing, and that was Judy through and through.
She made a difference in the lives of everyone she spent time with, especially her beloved granddaughters who she created everlasting memories with. Her most cherished moments with them were the times she spent creating a beautiful butterfly garden in their backyard.
Judy was a proud member of the international chrysalis, art and music education Inc., where she shared her gift for healing and storytelling. She was deeply involved in the creation of a powerful virtual project: “Beyond the Battlefield: The Forgotten Warrior Museum, a space that honors war veterans whose stories have often been overlooked. Through interviews, storytelling, and exhibit development, Judy helped preserve the sacrifices and resilience of veterans who might otherwise be forgotten. Her work helped to ensure that these warrior’s legacies would live on, not just as history, but as inspiration. Through this museum, Judy helped connect veterans with new communities and a renewed sense of honor. She also helped collect and distribute donations for veterans, children, and families, especially during Christmas time, and believed deeply in building a better world for her granddaughters and for future generations.
Judy was a healer, a giver and a light. Her legacy lives on through love, through service, and through us.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12th from 10am to 2pm at The War Veterans Memorial Park, Shelter #3, St. Petersburg.
A Memorial Service for Judy will also be held in New Hampshire, and those details are still to come.
