He is now in Heaven with the Lord, free of pain and able to breathe deep with no physical restrictions and ease of movement. After retirement, he became a Massage Therapist and golf enthusiast, moving to Battlement Mesa where he worked and played at the local golf course, touring and riding taking time to travel the country on “four wheels moving the body and two wheels moving soul”, visiting Hawaii, Australia, New Zealand, scuba diving off the great barrier reef, spending his final years in Golden, Colorado. A Remembrance Service and Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. We celebrate Jim’s passing with the ringing of bells for his service and our thanks for putting his life at risk to protect the community of Golden, CO and keeping us safe. In his retirement speech from Coors Brewery, Jim stated that “I said I was like Jonathan Livingston Seagull, I have eat a lot, shit a lot and squawked a lot, now it is time to try my wings. I’m free to do anything and I will!” Jim will be missed by family and friends.
