Simplicity: Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services - Ladson
Scott Richard Moran
November 8th, 1967 - March 27th, 2025
Scott was born in Burlington, Vermont on September 8, 1967. He went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 27, 2025 He spent many happy days at the campground of his Grandfather in Vermont. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vickie Shorb, his sister, Betsy, and his son, Ricky. He is survived by his wife, Susanna Ragan Moran, his very special Uncle Jared, and his son, Nicky. He was a cherished member of Rick and Cindy Ragan’s family including four siblings, their spouses, and twelve nieces and nephews. Scott trusted Jesus as his Savior and was baptized in 2009. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church in Summerville, SC. In previous churches, he led in discipleship ministry, played percussion with the praise team. Participated in Christmas Programs, Vacation Bible Schools, and taught Youth Sunday School. He loved Karaoke singing Country Music, especially the song, “Live Like You Were Dying”. He enjoyed grilling and cooking, as long as Susanna cleaned up the kitchen! He was a fan of the Baltimore Ravens, the Baltimore Orioles, Alabama football, and NASCAR, especially when Dale Earnhardt Jr was behind the wheel. After serving with the U. S. Navy, he spent a lifetime as a professional, licensed exterminator, and was presently employed by Clark’s Pest Control. He was recuperating from a triple by-pass heartsurgery in August, 2025. Susanna said, “Scott would rather die killing bugs than sitting in his recliner!” He got his wish! More than anything, Scott loved the Lord Jesus Christ, and his wife of fifteen years, Susanna Joy Moran. He was sincerely thankful to Susanna for caring for his physical needs during the past year of hospitalization and recuperation from surgery. A memorial service was held Sunday, March 30 at 3:00 pm, hosted by the Crossroads Community Church, 505 Gahagan Rd, Summerville, SC. The service was officiated by Dr. Richard Odum, Pastor Quinn Gray and Pastor Rick Ragan from Virginia.
