A Life Tribute Funeral Care - Largo
Joseph Eugene Stone
March 21st, 1957 - March 26th, 2025
Joseph E. Stone, 68, passed away March 26, 2025 peacefully at his home in Seminole, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph O. and Nina (Melvin) Stone, his sister Tina Dotson and his grandson Conor Greer.
Joe is survived by his daughter Miranda (Corey) Greer, his granddaughter Bronwyn Greer, grandson Spencer Greer and his niece and nephew Karlie (Scott) Cunningham and Ryan (Danielle) Stone.
Joe will be remembered for his adventurous and independent spirit, which included a love of travel and outdoor activities fostered by his parents and his service in the U.S. Army. Born March 21, 1957 in Fort Bragg, NC, he traveled, lived and worked all over the United States, South America and Germany, jokingly referring to himself as the original “Rolling Stone.” He was also drawn to American history and was always willing to share details and facts with his family and friends. Joe leaves behind a legacy that will be remembered through his stories told, time spent and adventures shared.
In the words of the great Jimmy Buffet, Joe lived his life as a dreamer of dreams and a travelin' man.
Joe will be laid to rest at Bay Pines National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 15th at 9am.
10000 Bay Pines Blvd St. Pete FL 33708
