Leticia "Letty" Lintao Valencia
July 19th, 1933 - March 24th, 2025
Leticia Lintao Valencia, age 92, loving mother of 4, and adoring wife to the late husband, Felix Bunoan Valencia, passed away on 24 March 2025. Letty was born July 19, 1933, in Echaugue, Isabela, Philippines. She was the eldest of eight children of Ex-Judge Gaudencio Lintao, Sr. and his wife Rosalia Lazo. Although she lived through the horrors of the Japanese occupation, she still believed she had a wonderful childhood, not without some acts of mischief. Growing up, her dream was to be a doctor; but being the good daughter, she followed her father’s wishes and became a lawyer instead. She attended and graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law, Class 1955, at a young age of 22. Shortly after she was elected councilwoman of their town. Her political career was cut short when she married Felix B. Valencia, Jr, also a lawyer from Tagudin, Ilocos Sur on May 12, 1957. Given that Felix’s job had them moving from one province to another, she decided to stay a housewife for the first ten years of their married life. Her professional career mostly concentrated on Immigration Law, which she excelled in both the Philippines and United States, until her retirement 1993.
Letty was heavily involved in church activities - from supporting Easter prayer vigils, active choir member, pilgrimage to holy land, and other volunteer services.
Through the graces of God, Leticia joined Felix in the heavenly realm. Their legacy is a testament of their love for one another
Sorely missed but never forgotten – always watching us now and forever.
Leticia is survived by 1 brother, 1 sister, 3 sons, 1 daughter, 9 grandsons, 5 granddaughters, 2 great grandsons, and 1 great granddaughter.
