Guillermo Martinez Torres

Mr. Guillermo Martinez Torres, age 92, a resident of Lakeland, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Lakeland Regional surrounded by his family. Guillermo was born on January 18, 1933, in Humacao, Puerto Rico to Salvador Martinez and Marcelina Torres. He was a retired Commercial Electrician, a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict and a member of the Dulce Nombre de Jesus Church in Puerto Rico. He enjoyed working outdoors, playing the guitar and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister, aunts and uncles. Guillermo is survived by his loving family, wife of 70 years – Carmen Maria Torres; 2 sons – Carmelo Martinez and Luis (Samari) Martinez; 1 daughter – Maria (Jorge) Del Carmen Martinez; 2 brothers – Vincete (Virginia) Martinez Torres and Felix Martinez Torres; 2 sisters – Benita Martinez and Sixta Martinez; 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services and interment will be held in Puerto Rico.
