Opal Barham Apple

In Loving Memory
Ms. Opal Barham Apple, 97, of Greensboro passed away on April 1, 2025 under the care of Moses Cone Hospital. Born in Rockingham County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late William Lane Barham Sr. and Nina Mae Busick and wife of the late E.L. Apple.
Opal is survived by her children, Barry Apple (Donna) of McLeansville, NC, and Sandra Kelly (Steve) of Reidsville, NC; her grandchildren, Josh Apple (Jennifer) of Greensboro, NC, Matt Apple of Greensboro, NC, and Chad Apple (Melissa) of McLeansville, NC; her great-grandchildren, Mya, Lily, and William Apple; her sisters, Linda Trent (Marvin) of Reidsville, NC; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Lee Apple; her brothers, Houston, W.L. Jr., Melvin, Vernon "Sonny Boy", Wayne, Steve, Royce, Charles, and Nelson Barham; her sisters, Mary Tolley, Martha Smothers, and Frances Krites; and her stepmother, Edith Barham, who was a very special person.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Lakeview Memorial Park, 3600 N O. Henry Blvd, Greensboro, NC 27405 on Tuesday, April 8th, 2025 at 3:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the organization of their choice.
