Christopher Alan Toy, 84, passed away peacefully in Laguna Beach, California on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

Chris was born in Pasadena, California on January 6, 1941 to Art and Alberta Toy and grew up in the Pasadena/Altadena area.

For many years, Chris worked in the Aerospace Engineering and Medical Engineering fields. Most recently, he worked in commercial Real Estate.

He married Kay Skjei on October 15, 1994. He loved working on automobiles and restored many over the years. He especially was proud of the 1964 Porsche with a 365 engine, which was featured in Velocity Magazine.

In his retirement years, Chris worked with city committees involving Laguna Beach views. This effort led to  the creation of a Laguna Beach “View Policy.”

Chris is survived by his loving wife Kay, his brother Stephen Toy, his sister, Susie Langford, his son Scott, grandchildren Adam and Missy and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Art, his sister Carolyn and his daughter Cindy.
