Jina Lynn Montee-Nelson
February 12, 1967 - April 2025
Jina Lynn Montee-Nelson, 58, of Idaho, passed away on April 1, 2025, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born on February 12, 1967, in Idaho to Christina and Ken Montee, Jina was a light that shone brightly in the lives of all who knew her. As a state champion gymnast in junior high school, her grace and strength were evident early in life. She went on to share her passion for the sport by owning and teaching at her own gymnastics studio, later becoming a respected real estate agent and spiritual guide.
Jina's greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her beloved children: Holly Lynn Nelson (Trevor Lichte), Kyle Allen Nelson (Karlee Louise Yang Nelson), and Brooke Amber Nelson, and their father, Brad Nelson. She was a doting grandmother to Colton, Timothy (Timmy), and Archer (AJ) Lichte; as well as Kamron (Kam) Nelson and Dexter Herrera. She also held a special place in her heart for her first love, Tommy Thibault, and his children, Tori Fredrick and Bailey Thibault.
Jina is survived by her parents, Christina and Ken Montee; her sister Diana Anderson-Wilson and brother-in-law Doug Wilson; her nieces Rebecca (Ryan) Kent, Christina (Jason) Bartschi, and Shari (Joe) Minton, along with their children Callie, Kai, and Kalo Kent; Roselyn, Luke, Brooklyn, and Bo Bartschi; and Hudson Minton as well as Aunts, Uncles and Friends.
Those who knew Jina will remember her profound connection to nature, particularly her love of touching large trees and finding peace by water, whether it was a mountain stream, a lake, or the ocean. As a founding member of the local The Power of Eight group, Jina opened her home weekly for gatherings aimed at benefiting humanity. Although their mission was global, the intimate community created by this inner circle was one of her most cherished inspirations. Her unique gift for reading people's energy helped many find ease in their life struggles, guided by the teachings of Eckhart Tolle and Deepak Chopra.
Jina was an angel to her family and friends—a lifeline and a sounding board. Her beautiful spirit made her a close friend and confidant to anyone fortunate enough to meet her. Her capacity to listen, understand, and guide others with compassion left an indelible mark on countless lives.
Services will be held privately for family only. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the GoFundMe for her expenses or to the Women's and Children's Alliance or Boise Rescue Mission in Jina's honor.
Though her physical presence has left us, her spiritual influence and loving guidance will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
