In Loving Memory
It is with our heartfelt sadness, that the family of Maria Valenzuela, announce her passing the evening of March 27, 2025, at the age of 94. We thank God for his gift of her presence during this time. Maria was true warrior; brave, resilient, resolute and independent. She lived a successful and accomplished life, overcoming the many obstacles and challenges life posed. She was always caring for those around her while staying true to herself. She was always there for anyone, family or friends who needed her. She will always be our queen!
Maria is survived by her 3 daughters Irma Valenzuela, Martha Marin, Alicia Zamora and 1 son Robert Andalon. Maria loved her sons and daughter-in-law Carlos Marin and Javier Mendez, Rosendo Zamora and Sandra Sanchez. As well as, 18 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She will be welcomed in heaven by her children Alex Valenzuela, Olga Fennel and Hilda Mendez. Along with her father, Manuel Castaneda and her mother Maria Blanco.

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
