Michael David Wiseman

Michael "Mike” Wiseman, 58, of Greeley, went to be with the Lord on May16, 2019 in Greeley. Mike was born in Bridgeport, NE to Thomas & Elizabeth (Greenly) Wiseman on April 2, 1961. Mike was raised in Oshkosh and Torrington, WY. On Dec. 7, 1976 (Pearl Harbor Day), he accepted Christ as his savior and became an active member of the youth group at Bethel Baptist in Torrington. He attended Bethel College in MN earning a communication degree. He was a champion debater in both high school and college. Mike’s first marriage was to Debbie Strom in 1986, and they proudly raised five children together. Mike was an assistant scout master, leading boys on many grand adventures, taught confirmation classes and coordinated AWANA for nearly 30 years. He later married Cindy (Bohannan) Wiseman, whom he loved dearly, on May 23, 2015. Professionally, Mike held many positions but was most proud to be a Certified Master Picture Framer and a successful bridge salesman. He loved deer hunting, fishing, the Cornhuskers and history…especially World War II. He moved to Greeley, CO in 2007. He became an active parent at Dayspring Christian, helped with community orchestra, Special Olympics Bowling, and Friendship Club, a bible study that reaches adults with special needs. He was also a longtime member of Community Bible Study. In 2013, he became a proud grandpa! After Mike and Cindy married, he became a member of Cornerstone Community Church. In addition to his own work, he helped Cindy care for animals in her pet sitting business. He loved going to the mountains…particularly RMNP and Yellowstone. Mike’s love of Jesus and compassion for others was a blessing to see...especially in the last few months of his life. He had a passion to see others know the love, grace and forgiveness of Christ. An acute heart attack unexpectedly ended his life. Gifts can be made to Cornerstone Community Church, Deacon’s fund. Mike is survived by his wife, Cindy; children, Katie (Nune) Cruz, Kristina, Daniel (Brenna), James, and Jonathan Wiseman; grandchildren, Eli Cruz, and Maeve Wiseman; siblings, Rob Wiseman, Beth (Pete) Cullan, and Eric (Janet) Dowson; and a large loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his son, Leonel Wiseman; and parents. A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00am on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Cornerstone Community Church, 1321 9th Ave, Greeley, CO 80631.
