Genevieve Rebecca Amalia Montoya
July 30th, 1981 - March 26th, 2025
Genevieve Rebecca Amalia Montoya passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025, at Intermountain Health Collier Hospice Center. Born on July 30, 1981, in Denver, Colorado, she brought warmth, passion, and creativity into the lives of those who knew her.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Dorothy Stringer, Avery Jeffers, Paul and Juanita Montoya, as well as her uncle, Robert Crawford.
She is survived by her loving mother, Barbara Crawford; father, Tom Montoya; and stepmother, Fran Montoya. She will be deeply missed by her brothers, Jacob Montoya, Zach Levinson, and Dan Levinson, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who cherished her presence in their lives.
A proud graduate of the Denver School of the Performing Arts High School, Genevieve pursued higher education with a BA in Political Science from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. Committed to making a difference in education, she was enrolled in a Master's program in Special Education at Grand Canyon University.
Genevieve dedicated her career to shaping young minds as a guest teacher at Lawrence Elementary in Jefferson County Schools. Beyond the classroom, she found immense joy in creative writing and reading, passions that enriched her life and the lives of those around her.
Genevieve will be remembered for her generosity, intelligence, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others. May her legacy continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 13, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Lakeside, located at 12 Lakeside Ln, Denver, CO 80212. Family, friends, and all who were touched by her kindness and spirit are invited to gather and honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, in honor of Genevieve a donation can be made to Lawrence Elementary School at 5611 Zephyr St, Arvada, CO 80002For checks, please make them out to Lawrence Elementary School, For: School Lunch Program or Education Programs
