Mary Beltran Reynolds, affectionately known as “Maruca”, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2025, in Tucson, Arizona, at the age of 98. She was born on November 7, 1926, in San Gabriel, California.

Mary’s long and vibrant life was marked by her deep connection to family and nature. She was a devoted gardener who found joy and peace in cultivating her garden, a reflection of her nurturing spirit and love for the outdoors. Camping trips in the mountains with her husband were among her most treasured memories-times filled with laughter and serenity.

Mary shared a special bond with birds, raising many over the years alongside her husband. One bird in particular, Kona, held a cherished place in her heart and brought her great joy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James H Reynolds, and sons Robert Badilla, Jr. and Leonard Badilla. She is lovingly remembered by her surviving son, Ernesto Badilla, as well as her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. A rosary and viewing service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, from 6pm to 8PM at Brings Memorial Chapel, 6910 E Broadway Blvd., Tucson, AZ, 85710. A Mass will follow on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10AM at St. Augustine Cathedral, 192 S Stone Ave., Tucson, AZ 85701. Burial will take place immediately afterward at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N Oracle Rd., Tucson, AZ 85705. May Mary’s memory bring comfort to those who knew her and serve as a lasting reminder of a life filled with love and grace.
