Thomas F. Dunbar, 86, of Sewell passed away on April 4, 2025.
Legacy
Born in Philadelphia, Tom has been a lifelong resident of Washington Township. Tom proudly served our country in the United States Army and was stationed overseas. Upon his return, Tom worked through the ranks at the United States Postal Service – Sewell, retiring as Postmaster in 1996. He is famously known for working for IHP Parking in Philadelphia for 30 years for all Philadelphia sports events and other events.
Tom loved the Philadelphia Eagles, attending the games whenever he could. He loved traveling with his wife to places like Hawaii, the Bahamas, and the casino. He would often be seen smoking cigarettes and having a laugh. Every Saturday Tom would attend church and would often be an usher. He attended many sports games to cheer on his children and grandchildren.
Family
Son of the late John and Anna Dunbar and husband to the late Sandra N (nee Marano), Tom is the devoted father to John Dunbar and Dawn Auliano; dear brother to Anna Cerasoli, Jack Dunbar, William Dunbar, Edward Dunbar, and Elizabeth Cufaro; loving grandfather of Carly Dunbar, Nicole Dunbar, Alaina Dunbar, Anthony Auliano, Natalia Jordan and Alexis Ciccanti; loving great grandfather of Sophia Marie Auliano and Adriana Ciccanti.
Tom will be remembered for his corny jokes and loving personality.
Farewell Service
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am at the Church of the Holy Family, 226 Hurffville Road, followed by interment at New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrier Project.
