It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kerry Duane Jenne (Karebear), beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother. He died at the young age of 64 in Kuna, Idaho, on March 18, 2025, in his home due to natural causes.

Kerry was born on December 13, 1960, in Portland, Oregon. During his childhood he attended school in Tigard, Oregon. He began working at the young age of nine at a family gas station showing his commitment to hard work. He met his sweetheart, Janet English, in the Fall of 1978 at Portland Community College. After a short courtship, they were married on March 10, 1979, and celebrated 46 years of marriage just before his passing. He worked many odd jobs in his younger years to support his family before joining WinCo Foods, previously known as Waremart Foods. He began working for WinCo Foods in October of 1994 as a dispatcher. He spent over 30 years with WinCo Foods furthering his career through the company and ultimately becoming a District Manager. He lived by the mantra of “a man can fail many times, but he isn’t a failure until he gives up.” If you knew Kerry, you know he was determined to make the world a better place by reaching out to help those deemed as underdogs. Kerry loved mentoring those he worked with to help them find their potential and excel in their jobs. Kerry was dedicated to his job, and he was respected and loved by those he associated with. He spent much of his time working because he loved what he did.

Kerry and Janet had three children, two boys and one girl. They raised their family in the Willamette Valley and then moved to Idaho in 2009 when he was relocated for work. Kerry enjoyed his time in Idaho by spending time outdoors, fishing and camping. He also loved spending quality time with his wife, kids and grandkids. He loved to read, do crossword puzzles, and watch old movies when he was not working. Kerry was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where he held many callings. His favorite calling was being a teacher because he loved helping others come to the truth.

Kerry is survived by his Wife, Janet Jenne; his three children, Jason Jenne, Jereme (Amanda) Jenne, Julia (Sean) Smith; his eight grandchildren, Ashton Jenne, Reilen Jenne, Brayden Jenne, Savannah Jenne, Karina Smith, Lanie Smith, Nathan Smith and McKenzie Smith; Mother, Patricia Hatleli; Sister, Colleen Duncan. He was preceded in death by his father Dayton Jenne; and his brother Keith Jenne.

A memorial service for Kerry will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at 2 pm at the Avalon Building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kuna, Idaho.
