Clara Martinez
November 14th, 1930 - April 5th, 2025
Clara is gone from this earthly dwelling, and has left behind those who mourn her absence. Grant that we may hold her memory dear, never bitter for what we have lost nor in regret for the past, but always in hope of the Eternal Kingdom.
Clara Martinez passed away peacefully in her sleep, with rosary in her hand on April 5, 2025. She was born to John Martinez and Amelia Bargas on November 14, 1930, in Weston Colorado. She married Froylan Martinez, and enjoyed 69 years of marriage until his passing in 2021. Clara was a devoted wife and mother dedicated to her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Froylan Martinez Sr., and her sons John Felix Martinez, and Daniel Martinez (Liza). She is survived by her sister Teri Taylor (Clark), and her sons Froylan Martinez Jr. (Georgia), David Martinez (Clarissa), James Martinez (Lex) and dedicated nephew Robert Martinez Jr. (Bobby), 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces who love her dearly. When Clara wasn’t involved with Holy Trinity Parish Church, she was knocking down pins in her bowling league. She also loved to shop for herself and family and was the luckiest gambler we’ve ever known. A devout Catholic, she would say her prayers after her morning coffee and then tackle the daily crossword puzzle. Regardless of the situation, she always made time for her grandchildren and her family’s well being. Her caring heart and carefree demeanor is the legacy that she leaves behind. We miss her deeply.
