It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the passing of Madison Nicole Stutters. She died March 30, 2025, at the age of 24.

Madison was born into this world on March 8, 2001, in Portland to Kristi and Grant Stutters. Her spirit shined like her red hair and her smile was infectious. She graduated from David Douglas High School in 2019 and successfully navigated nursing school, graduating with her BSN.

She was working her dream job at Portland Providence hospital with the Mother Baby Unit. However, Madison’s passions were seen the most when she was with her daughter Zara Allen, who was born in May 2024. Her aptitude and love toward mothering was as strong as her own mom’s.

Madison is survived by her parents, Kristi and Grant, brother, Austin Sutters, grandparents, Jim and Kathy Stutters, aunt and uncle, Tammy and Jon Nelson, aunt, Andi VanBlaricom, and her beautiful daughter, Zara.   She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Diane Phillips, and her grandfather Raymond VanBlaricom.

A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. April 12 at Sunnyside Memorial Gardens, 11667 SE Stevens Road, Happy Valley, OR. A reception will be held after.

A remembrance and educational fund for Zara has been established. If you would like to donate to her education, please do so via Venmo @MadiandZara.
