With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Leonard Palmer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, at the age of 80 on April 3, 2025.

 

Leonard was born in Jackson, SC, on October 20, 1944. After high school, he joined the army and spent time abroad in Germany. He married his wife, Cathy, of 57 years, on March 25, 1968. Leonard began a successful business after the military and never “officially” retired. He will be remembered best for his generous heart, helping many through troubled times, his love and devotion to his family, his love of fishing, military history, and football.

 

Leonard is survived by his wife Cathy (nee Hall), daughter, Melanie (Stephen) Rauch, son, Mark (Jennifer) Palmer, and grandchildren; Abigail Rauch, Matthew Rauch, and Jared Palmer.

 

At Leonard’s request, no formal service will be held, Instead, family will hold a private memorial.
