Heather Mae Martinez
April 28th, 1977 - April 6th, 2025
Heather M. Martinez (Odenbaugh) was born on April 28,1977 to Tammy and Whitey Odenbaugh in Greeley, Colorado. She passed away on April 6, 2025, in Evans, Colorado.
She graduated from Valley High School in Gilcrest, CO in 1995. She cherished her high school days as a Valley Cheerleader where she made lifelong friends. She was married to Paul Martinez for 22 years and had 2 beautiful daughters, McKenzie and Mollie.
Heather didn't choose to get a big education or pursue a big career, what she had could not be taught. She was the pesky little sister, irritating and stubborn. Heather was a good neighbor, always watching the neighborhood and helping out when she could. She was a true friend, pitching in when needed. She was everyone's mom; kids were always welcome in her house. Heather was active at her kids' school, knew all the teachers, was at all of her children's school activities, supporting and cheering them on. She was there to help someone clean their house when they needed help. She was a wonderful daughter.
Her true passion was her girls, she built her life around them and their interests and friends. Heather's favorite holiday was Christmas, and she made it magical every year for her family. She loved planting flowers on Mother's Day, they made her happy. Heather loved baseball and was a diehard Yankees fan. Her favorite musician was Tupac Shakur. She never met a cat she didn't love. Heather was fascinated by tornadoes and wanted to be a storm chaser. She called herself "All Weather Heather". Heather leaves a hole in the heart of everyone she touched.
She is survived by her daughters, McKenzie and Mollie, and her ex-husband Paul. Her parents, Tammy Lewis and Whitey (Dana) Odenbaugh. Her sister Julie (Paul) Crabtree, nieces Kendra and Brisaeus. Her half siblings Kelsey, Blake and Kyle, their spouses and children. Her maternal grandparents, Dennis and Sharon Lewis, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be at a later date.
