Anna Eileen Schottel went home to her Lord and Savior on March 12, 2025. Eileen was born in St. Joesph, Missouri on March 3, 1937, to Carl and Martha Rittmann. Eileen graduated from Central Highschool in 1955, she then went to Northwestern Missouri University and earned her teaching degree in 1959. She then went on to earn her master’s degree in 1969 from the University of Arizona. She taught for one year in Kansas before moving to Arizona. Eileen taught for 33 years in the Tucson Unified School District beginning in 1962. She taught elementary school for many years then moved to Townsand Jr. High School as a science teacher. She married Daniel Schottel in 1965 and had two children together. Eileen never missed a beat when it came to her family or a song. She had a great love for the Lord, family, life, travel, singing, walking and education. Eileen had a contagious smile and greeted everyone she met as though she had known them for years.

Eileen is survived by her son Carl Schottel (Jackie), daughter Stacey Schottel, grandchildren Adeline and Wyatt Schottel, brother Everett Rittmann (Linda) and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel, sister Betty Bent, brother Richard Rittmann and parents.
