It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James "Jimmy" Whalley, a devoted father, loving friend, and man of simplicity, who left us peacefully on April 5th, 2025.  He was a proud father to four wonderful children, whose lives he enriched with love, guidance, and support, (even with his stubborn streak).Jimmy cherished the simple joys in life—whether it was spending time with family, sharing a hearty laugh with friends, or enjoying a nice cold beer at his favorite bar, CryBabies. He found his greatest joy in the company of those he loved, always putting others before himself. His kindness, humility, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy will live on through the lives of his children, family and the many friends who cherished his presence. He is survived by his son, Nathan Whalley, his two daughters, Lucy Moss and Sherry Hendrix; four grandchildren, Michael Moss, Christopher Moss, Matthew Knuth, and Hudson Hendrix, brother Billy Whalley, as well as many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his son Eli Whalley, father Donald Whalley, mother Virgina Futch, brothers Gary Whalley and Kenny Whalley, sisters Sharon Jett, Jean Warney, and Patty Hartman. A  Celebration of Life will be held April 11th, 2025 from 6-9pm at CryBabies, 2451 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29906 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that if you'd like to make a memorial contribution please contact Audrey Woodley-Cruz at 843-812-4437.
