Howard "Howie" R. Paxton
February 28th, 1948 - April 7th, 2025
Howard R. Paxton, 77 years old, of Fultonville, New York, passed away on April 7, 2025 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.
He was born in Manhattan, New York on February 28, 1948 by mother Eleanor Bergman. Howard worked as a mechanic at Walsh’s Auto before going to work at Fonda Fultonville Central School District as a Janitor until retiring. He was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Johnstown, NY.
Howard enjoyed tinkering on cars, watching his favorite television shows- especially old crime shows, boxing fights and NASCAR, he truly loved spending time with his family.
He is predeceased by his adoptive parents, Perry A. Foundeur and Martha S. Foundeur; brothers, Jim Peterson and Patrick Foundeur; and sister, Lori Foundeur, one son Patrick Paxton.
He is survived by his wife, Carol A. Paxton; one son, Robert V. Paxton, daughter-in-law; Katie Paxton brother, Paul Foundeur; sister LeAn Foundeur as well as 3 grandchildren; Drew Koupas Easton.Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, April 15,2025 from 12 noon to 2pm, at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY, where a Funeral Service will follow at 2pm.
Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Heart Association or to the Montgomery County SPCA because of his love for animals.
