Ronnie Lee Getty, 68, passed away April 7, 2025 at his home in South Hadley. Born July 10, 1956 in Stafford Springs, CT, he was the son of Robert J. and Mary (Stimeson) Getty. Ronnie grew up in Springfield and was in the National Guard. He then lived for 16 years in Westfield before moving to South Hadley 12 years ago. Ronnie retired 20 years ago as an electrician. In his leisure, he enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife, Helen. Cruises were one of their favorite things to do together. He also enjoyed time spent at Foxwoods playing Bingo and building his model trains. Ronnie was an avid New England Patriots Fan and loved watching the team. His memory will forever be cherished by his wife of 36 years, Helen (McMullin) Getty along with her children, Richard and Sara McMullin. Ronnie also leaves in laws, Mary and Grant Cole, Isabell and Frank Small, Flo and Dale Ringer and was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen. A visiting time will be held Thursday April 24 from 2-2:30 pm at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home with a service to begin at 2:30 pm.
