Ann Stopher Dalzell
June 7th, 1946 - April 5th, 2025
Jesus took Ann Stopher Dalzell home to heaven on April 5th, 2025. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky, to Joseph and Marie Stopher and is survived by her husband, Frank Dalzell, daughters Catherine (Mark) Payne, Amy (Noah) Toomey, grandchildren Kelly Gray, Laurel (Samuel) Guy, Mason and Savannah Toomey, brothers Edward (Cathy) Stopher and Robert (Nancy) Stopher, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Ann graduated from Georgetown College and made her home in Lexington. She worked in radio, television, and advertising, while pursuing her passion for musical theater. She played Jeannie in The Stephen Foster Story in Bardstown in 1975 and was active in Lexington Musical Theater for many years. Ann was retired from UK's Chandler Medical Center. She had been a devoted choir member of Calvary Baptist Church and for the last ten years, attended Southland Christian Church. Through Southland, Ann joyfully loved and served women at The Hope Center.
There will be a memorial service at Southland Christian Church Chapel (Building A), 5001 Harrodsburg Rd., Nicholasville, KY on Monday, April 14th at 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Southland Christian Church. They also ask that you remember: "Jesus told her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?' (John 11:25-26)" Ann believed.
