Helen Esther Stout
February 6th, 1955 - March 29th, 2025
Helen Esther Stout, 70, passed away on March 29, 2025, in Fort Collins, Colorado. Born on February 6, 1955, in Greeley, Colorado, Helen lived a life rooted in dedication, compassion, and a deep love for animals and the outdoors.
Helen’s passion for working with animals was evident to all who knew her. She found great joy in training and caring for her beloved horses—Banner, Foof, and Willow—as well as her cherished dogs—Noel, Ruff, and Shorty. Her summers were often spent tending to her flowers and plants, nurturing them with the same care she gave to every living thing around her.
On July 2, 2019, Helen married Eric, with whom she shared a deep and abiding love. Their bond was one of mutual respect and devotion. Helen also leaves behind her daughter Jonelle and her family—Alex, Raquel, Jando, and Izzy—whom she embraced wholeheartedly as her own. Her cousins Lilian and Dick held a special place in her heart and were a meaningful part of her life.
Professionally, Helen built lasting friendships through her work at Kodak and Vestas. She was known among colleagues not only for her strong work ethic but also for the warmth she brought into every interaction. Her involvement in western riding competitions—particularly Reining—was a source of pride and accomplishment. She often spoke fondly of competing at the National Western Stock Show in Denver as well as numerous other events throughout Colorado. Her knowledge of the sport and dedication to excellence earned her respect within the equestrian community.
Helen’s giving nature touched many lives. Whether through friendship or mentorship, she offered kindness freely and generously. One of Helen's friends Karl helped her through thick and thin and through many of life's turmoils. Her legacy is carried forward by those who knew her best—family members who loved her deeply and friends who admired her strength and spirit.
Helen will be missed by many.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
Helen has passed into the eternal arms of Jesus.
